Evidence Technician In Md. Charged With Theft

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- A man who worked as a police department evidence technician in Montgomery County has been arrested for allegedly stealing money seized by the department.

Suk "Brian" Ryong Yun of Rockville was arrested Monday. The Police Department says that a routine inspection and audit in September uncovered the theft and that an investigation found Yun had been manipulating records to conceal the missing money. Police did not say exactly how much he allegedly stole, though he is charged with stealing between $10,000 and $100,000.

Yun has been a civilian employee of the police department since 2010. He is currently on administrative leave. He has posted a $15,000 bond and been released from jail. A court website did not list an attorney.
