Metro Offering Transfers Between Farragut Stations

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro is about to introduce a free transfer between the Farragut West and Farragut North rail stations.

Metro says "Farragut Crossing" will allow customers to transfer between the two stations without paying an additional fare. The policy, which will begin on Friday, will also allow riders to get between the two stations without having to transfer at Metro Center.

Metro spokesman Dan Stessel tells The Washington Examiner that riders will have 30 minutes to move between stations. He says that Metro will advertise the change at Metro Center but that it won't be featured on transit system maps.
