Residents In Laurel To Vote For Mayor, Council
LAUREL, Md. (AP) -- Residents in Laurel will be heading to the polls to vote in a three-way race for the city's mayor.
Polls will be open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Washington Post reports Mayor Craig Moe is facing two opponents, former Council member Michael Sarich and Laurel Ethics Commission member Valerie Cunningham.
In the council race, at-large member Michael Michael Lesczc is facing a challenge from Adrian Rousseau. Four other council members are running unopposed.
The mayor is paid $20,000 annually for the part-time job, and council members are paid $13,500.
