Baltimore Man Sentenced For Killing Ex-Wife
COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) -- A Baltimore man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole plus 30 years in prison for stabbing his ex-wife to death and setting her Columbia apartment on fire.
According to The Baltimore Sun, 36-year-old Damon White's sentence was handed down Tuesday by a Howard County judge, who told White he had committed a "horrible, horrible crime that requires an appropriate response."
Police say White had been temporarily staying with Thelma Wynn, 37, and stabbed her to death, then barricaded the front door and set fire to the apartment. Wynn was stabbed more than 100 times on Sept. 7, 2010. White was convicted of first-degree murder and arson in August.
