Scattered Outages Remain After October Snowstorm

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Utilities in Maryland are still reporting scattered outages in the wake of an unusual October snowstorm.

Allegheny Power says about 230 of its western Maryland customers remained without power late Wednesday morning.

Baltimore Gas & Electric had about 100 outages in central Maryland.

Delmarva Power also has scattered outages on the Eastern Shore, although not all of those are storm-related.

Power has been restored at Sabillasville Elementary School in Frederick County, which was closed Monday and Tuesday. It opened on time Wednesday.
