Man, 20, Dies In Harford County House Fire
BALDWIN, Md. (AP) -- Fire officials say a 20-year-old man has died in a fire in his home.
The state fire marshal's office says Kevin McKeown arrived at his home in Baldwin about 7:45 p.m. Thursday to find smoke and flames coming from the residence. Officials say he called 911 and then went into the house to find his son, Conner Daniel McKeown.
Firefighters helped the elder McKeown leave the house and found Conner McKeown unconscious.
Conner McKeown was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Kevin McKeown was treated at the scene for minor burns.
Investigators say the fire began in the first-floor living room, but the cause is unknown. The house did not have working smoke alarms.
About 50 firefighters battled for two hours to bring the blaze under control.
