HANOVER, Md. (AP) — A Silver Spring man who was reported missing last week has been found dead in Anne Arundel County, and authorities say his death is being investigated as a homicide.

Montgomery County police say the body of Manuel Enrique Diaz Gomez, 37, was found by a passerby along Race Road in Hanover on Sunday afternoon. Police say the body was found under suspicious circumstances, but did not elaborate.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine how Gomez died.

Police say family members reported Gomez missing on Oct. 31, and said they had last been in contact with him on Oct. 27.
