Md. Man Sentenced In Killing Over Tattoo Ink

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Prince George's County prosecutors say a Greenbelt man who killed a teenage girl over tattoo ink will spend the rest of his life in prison.

State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks says Rydel Estep, 21, was sentenced Thursday by Circuit Court Judge Dwight Jackson.

Alsobrooks says Jackson added another 30 years to Estep's sentence.

Estep was convicted of first-degree murder in the killing of 16-year-old Jericka Chambers of Landover in May 2010.

Prosecutors and police say Chambers had tattoo ink that Estep wanted.

Authorities say Estep snatched the ink from Chambers, and when the teenager tried to get it back, Estep took out a gun and shot her in the head.
