Kratovil Won't Challenge Harris For Old Seat
EASTON, Md. (AP) -- Former Rep. Frank Kratovil says he won't challenge incumbent Rep. Andy Harris for the 1st District seat he once held.
Kratovil, a moderate Democrat, was defeated by Harris, a Republican, after just one term representing the district that covers the Eastern Shore and parts of Harford, Baltimore and Carroll Counties. Kratovil told The Star Democrat of Easton that making the decision was extremely difficult and was done after many
discussions with family, friends and supporters.
Kratovil now works for the Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office and has applied for the Queen Anne's County District Court judge position. Harris wished Kratovil luck in the future and said his focus
