EASTON, Md. (AP) — Easton is celebrating Clean Water Week, hosting discussions, concerts, films and other events about restoring the health of local rivers, streams and the Chesapeake Bay.
Clean Water Week events run through Friday. They include a concert Wednesday night at Easton’s Avalon Theatre and a discussion Thursday of environmental legislation expected during the upcoming General Assembly session. The legislative preview will be held at the Historical Society of Talbot County. A film festival and silent auction will also be held Friday evening at the Avalon Theatre.
Sponsors include the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the Maryland Chapter of the Sierra Club, and the Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy.
