Moderate Flooding Along Monocacy River

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- High water is closing some roads and causing moderate flooding along the Monocacy River in Frederick County.

The Frederick News-Post reports that about two dozen county roads were closed Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Monocacy River until Thursday morning.

The agency predicts the river will crest Wednesday afternoon at nearly 18.6 feet in Frederick. That's 3.6 feet above flood stage.
