Police ID Victim In Parking Lot Crash

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Police have identified a man struck by a car and killed in the parking lot of a Home Depot in suburban Washington.

Forty-one-year-old Fredys Castillo-Giron of Hyattsville was standing with several people in the parking lot of the Hyattsville Home Depot on Thursday when a car crashed into him and the group.

Castillo-Giron and five others were taken to a hospital, where Castillo-Giron later died.

Police have said the driver of the car was leaving the store, suffered a medical emergency and blacked out. The driver was a 79-year-old Hyattsville man. Police have not released his name because he has not been charged with any crimes.
