Suspect Accidentally Granted Bail Back In Custody
PALMER PARK, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say a man mistakenly granted bail earlier this month is back in custody.
Police say Frederick Scott, of Chillum, Md., was arrested on Tuesday. Scott is charged with murder in the March 4 shooting death of Phillip Watson, 30, in Edmonston, Md.
Scott, 24, was arrested in May in Las Vegas and was extradited to Maryland, where he was held on a no bond status. Police say a clerical error led to Scott being granted bond and released earlier this month. The court issued a bench warrant for Scott after the mistake was noticed.
Scott has been sent back to the Department of Corrections on a $500,000 bond.
