BLOG: Mild And Dry---For Now

A slow-progressing, long upper trough will be the dominant weather feature across the center of the country Sunday. We'll be on the eastern side of this feature which will mean a general southerly flow and temperatures above average. The difficult part will be figuring out how warm with relation to how many clouds move over the region. Today there will be some high clouds that can obscure the skies at times, though probably only in the morning. As the trough makes its move to the east, more clouds will enter Tuesday into Tuesday night and even a shower by the end of the night. By Wednesday the front associated with the upper system will be active enough for some rain across the region. Since this system is so slow to leave more rain will continue into Tuesday night and even Wednesday morning.

This will finally be kicked out by a powerful and more progressive system in Canada. The energy from this storm mainly stays in Canada which only means that the front will clear and we will probably just be dry Wednesday night into Thursday.
