Crews Fight Barn Fire In Lisbon

LISBON, Md. (WJZ) -- Crews from Howard County are fighting a barn fire in Lisbon.

It started just before 3:30 a.m. in the 15700-block of Route 144.

Upon arrival, crews found a barn that was fully engulfed in flames. Due to the structural integrity of the barn and several wall collapses, firefighters combatted the blaze from the exterior.

More than 30 people were on the scene and assistance was also provided by highway crews.

There were no injuries.

The barn was reportedly filled with equipment, hay and straw. Damage is estimated at $1 million.
