Md. Woman Arrested After Scuffling With Del. Troopers
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (AP) -- State police say a 24-year-old Maryland woman was arrested after scuffling with troopers outside a convenience store in Rehoboth Beach.
Police say troopers were called to the Wawa on Wolfe Neck Road late Saturday afternoon for a report of a man and a woman harassing customers outside.
Police say Nicole Pezold of Elkton, Md., ran inside the store when a trooper arrived, then gave the trooper false name. Police say she then began fighting with the trooper and climbed onto the hood of his car, causing damage. Additional troopers responded and took Pezold into custody.
Police say a male and female trooper were slightly injured, as was Pezold. None required any medical attention.
Pezold faces charges including resisting arrest with force, third-degree assault and possession of marijuana.
