Bob Haynie: Week 17 NFL Picks

Where has the time gone?

It seems like only yesterday that the NFL was in the midst of a lockout and there were concerns that 2011 season could be in jeopardy. Fans were unhappy and sports-talk was slow.

Well, believe it not, that 2011 season is entering it's final weekend.

The Ravens have qualified for the playoffs for the fourth-straight season and a win on Sunday at Cincinnati will give them their first AFC North title since 2006.

There are plenty of important week 17 games with playoff berths and seeding on the line.

Let's get to the picks.

San Francisco @ St. Louis--The 49'ers secure the number two seed in the NFC by pounding the dreadful Rams.

Indianapolis @ Jacksonville--The Colts will complete their season-long suck-fest for Andrew Luck by losing to the Jags.

NY Jets @ Miami--The Jets will not win the Super Bowl because they will not make the playoffs. Dolphins win.

Kansas City @ Denver--Former Broncos QB Kyle Orton gets his revenge as the Chiefs pull off the stunner.

San Diego @ Oakland--The Chargers are a zany bunch. They spank the Ravens one week and get spanked themselves the next. The may not get spanked, but they will lose to the Raiders who win the AFC West.

Dallas @ NY Giants--Neither team deserves to be in the playoffs. However, NFL rules say that someone has to win the NFC East. It will be the Giants.

Bonus Pick--The Ravens have a chance for the division title, a home playoff game and a first-round bye. they will get all of that by taking out the Bengals, 20-17.

Have a safe and Happy New Year and enjoy this weekend's game.
