Metro Running On Holiday Schedule

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro is running on a holiday schedule and will have shortened hours.

Many businesses and the federal government are closed and observing the New Year's Day holiday on Monday.

As a result Metro opens at 7 a.m. instead of 5 a.m. and will close at midnight.

Buses are running on a Sunday schedule.
