LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) — Anne Arundel County Police have arrested a man they say impersonated an officer and raped a woman in a Linthicum hotel.
Tamango Johnson, 38, of Baltimore was arrested Saturday at his home and charged with rape, impersonating a police officer and other offenses.
Police say on Dec. 27, a woman arranged a meeting with Johnson in her hotel room at the Microtel Inn and Suites. Officers say Johnson impersonated an officer before assaulting the woman.
Authorities say Johnson showed up with handcuffs at the door of another woman staying at the Microtel on Dec. 29. The woman refused to let him in and called police.
