Prince George’s Co. Marks First Homicide Of 2012

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County police say they are investigating their first homicide of the new year.

Police say they were called to a mid-rise apartment complex in the 2000-block of Brooks Drive in the District Heights area on Thursday afternoon and found the man dead outside. Police say the man suffered apparent gunshot wounds.

The county saw a surge in homicides last January with 15 people killed.
