BALTIMORE (WJZ)—The Baltimore City School System confirms that three students in the same class at George Washington Elementary have scarlet fever.

Notes are being sent home with students and the school is being disinfected.

Scarlet fever normally causes high fever, a sore throat and a strawberry-like appearance of the tongue. It can be treated with antibiotics.
