BALTIMORE (WJZ)– A disabled man somehow escapes life-threatening injuries after being pinned under a Metro train car.

The 46-year-old victim was wheeled to a waiting ambulance after the incident on Wednesday.

Police now believe he either lost control of his electric wheelchair or fell asleep with his hand on the control, causing him to fall off the platform. A train passed over top of him.

He remains at Shock Trauma.
