Ravens Attempt To Clear Confusion Over Tickets For Sunday's Game

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- All 71,000 seats for the Ravens home playoff game are spoken for. But the Ravens-- hoping to avoid any confusion-- are asking the fans to make sure they bring the correct ticket to the game.

Mike Schuh has more on why the team is concerned.

Instead of just getting one ticket, season ticket holders were sent two-- one for the playoffs and one for the AFC championship game.

But here's where confusion could come in: One ticket does not have a date on it and AFC Wildcard is shown.

So you might think it was printed before we knew the Ravens didn't need to play in last week's wildcard game and that ticket would go unused.

Read on. Under AFC Wildcard, it says: "...Or divisional playoff," meaning this is the ticket to use. The other ticket could come in handy for the next round on Jan. 22.

This is the ticket to use for the divisional playoff game on Sunday, Jan. 15.

Concerned about chaos at entrances on Sunday, the team on Friday sent out an email reminding ticket holders to take the first ticket to the game and leave the second one in a safe spot. Hopefully we'll need it.

The Ravens ticket director tells WJZ, if you try to use the wrong ticket and, about a 100 people a game do, you'll be pointed to the main ticket office near Russell Street to sort it out. For PSL owners, other than the time lost, it's easy with an identification. If you don't own the seat, it will be a lot harder.

The Ravens say the NFL tightens security for the playoffs and asks fans to line up early for the game.
