Snow Making I-68 Slick In Far Western Md.

GRANTSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say wintry weather is making travel difficult on Interstate 68 in far western Maryland.

Police say several vehicles slid off the highway into the median amid blowing snow Friday morning in Garrett County. No injuries were reported.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the area until 6 p.m. Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected with gusts up to 50 mph.

The weather service is forecasting an inch of snow Friday in the region with another 1 to 3 inches expected overnight.
