Ravens Fans Have Chance To Meet Torrey Smith

TIMONIUM, Md. (WJZ) -- The Baltimore Ravens are on the road to the Super Bowl and fans are on a high. Now the team is setting its sights on the New England Patriots.

Kai Jackson has the mounting excitement for players and fans.

The Ravens have a lot of weapons on both sides of the ball. Among their offensive stars is Torrey Smith, and fans had a chance to meet him Monday night.

Fans were all smiles as Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith signed autographs and took pictures after the team's big win on Sunday.

"He's awesome," said 10-year-old Cameron Strachan.

Smith appeared at the opening of a medical center in Timonium.

"Watching him play, he can play. He's fast. I'm not sure they can cover him next weekend," said Dr. Barry Magnus.

He credits the fans with being among the best in the league. It's support the team will need as they prepare to play in the AFC Championship Game Sunday.

"Our fans are the best. Seeing a lot of different teams and the way their fans interact; no one shows love like Ravens fans do," Smith said.

You can see and feel Ravens mania all across Maryland. T-shirts are being printed up, hot off the presses. Tickets for the big game are on sale and fans are showing their team---and Torrey Smith---much love.

"The important thing is we won," said Tanya Bryan.

"Very excited. This will be like the first year that I'll see them go to the championship," said 10-year-old Sharnice Knox.

You can watch the Ravens take on the Patriots Sunday at 3 p.m. on WJZ.
