Ravens Fan Caravan Spreading Purple Pride Across Maryland

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- It's a Purple Friday with Super Bowl implications.  In just two days, we'll find out whether the Ravens will be playing on football's biggest stage.  Excitement is building all around town.

Jessica Kartalija has more on the fan caravan that's making its way around town.

The road to the Super Bowl starts here. First stop: Alonso's.

"We decided it would be fun if all of Baltimore could get in on the fun," said a Ravens official.

The purple parade is on the road through Maryland.

"Ravens like 'Lobstah,' New England Lobstah. Patriot Lobstah," said a pumped up fan.

At the Gallery in the Inner Harbor, everyone has Ravens fever.

"I'm here to support the Ravens! Go Ravens!"

"Go Ravens, go Ravens! We're going to kick some butt! Ball So hard. We're going to do it. Super Bowl baby! Yeah, Ravens, all day, we're going to the championship, and the Super Bowl and we're going to party like crazy! Yeah, that's how we roll."

"I am here to see the Ravens to celebrate with them, their excitement, because we're going to win, we're going to win, we're going to win!"

The Flacco fu manchu in full effect.

"We are feeling very confident about the Patriots. They don't have the defense that the Texans had, and we are going to put some numbers on the board," said a fan.

Cheereladers, playmakers and fans hopped on the roving rally to spread purple pride throughout Maryland.

"I want to go up there and support the team, bring us home a win. I went to Oakland, and it seemed to work then," said a fan.

"I am here to cheer on the Ravens. I hope we go all the way this year," said another.

The Ravens credit the fans with giving them a perfect record at home this season. The Patriots are favored to win Sunday by a touchdown.
