FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County police say a body has been found in a well in Fort Washington and authorities are working to retrieve it.
Police say the body was found in the 11900-block of Old Fort Road behind an unoccupied home on Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say they need to excavate around the 20-foot well to remove the body and that there is a concern of the well collapsing. They also must determine if any underground utilities are near the well.
Police say it may take until Friday night to remove the body.
