BALTIMORE (WJZ)—The Baltimore Ravens introduce a new man in charge of the defense for the fourth time in the last four years.
At a news conference Friday, head coach John Harbaugh officially introduced Dean Pees as the team’s new defensive coordinator, and announced Cam Cameron will return to run the offense.
Pees coached the linebackers for the Ravens’ third-ranked defense during the team’s run to the AFC Championship game.
He was the Patriots defensive coordinator before he came to Baltimore in 2010.
Friday’s news conference comes as his former defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano talks about his decision to leave the Ravens and become head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg will also return.
Cameron coached the Ravens to a No. 15 ranking in total offense. His four-year contract was set to expire next month.
