Second Man Arrested In Death Of Activist
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- A second person has been arrested in the slaying of an Alexandria, Va., community activist whose body was dumped into a well.
Police on Thursday announced the arrest of Ivan Newman, 20. He's accused in the death of Lenny Harris, who had been missing since September. Prince George's County police say Harris, 53, was shot in the head, and his body was found last week in a Fort Washington well.
Police had already announced the arrest of Linwood Johnson, who was ordered held without bond during an appearance Wednesday in Prince George's County District Court.
Meanwhile, police say they are continuing to search for additional suspects in the case.
