BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A car fire caused delays on I-95 N Friday evening, near the Fort McHenry Tunnel as Transportation Police shut down two lanes of the highway.

Mike Perry reports there were a couple of small explosions coming from the car, and the gas tank was also heavily involved.

Authorities said the car was a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette and that it was the only vehicle involved in the incident. There are no reports of injuries due to the fire and all lanes of the highway were reopened after 6:45 p.m.

Officials have not revealed what caused the fire.
