WASHINGTON (AP) — Rep. Chris Van Hollen will talk about election year budget policy and politics during a discussion Friday morning.
The congressman, a Democrat from Maryland, will discuss ways to improve the nation’s economy and reduce unemployment at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
Van Hollen is the ranking member of the House Budget Committee and also served on Congressional super committee that attempted to resolve the nation’s budget deficit.
Uri Dadush, director of Carnegie’s International Economics Program, will moderate the discussion.
