Naval Academy: 'Spice' Investigation Over
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Officials at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis say an investigation into the use of synthetic marijuana by students is over.
Sixteen students were expelled from the academy for use or possession of "spice" between December 2010 and August 2011, when the formal investigation ended.
Officials told The Washington Post that their investigation found no evidence of drug dealing or distribution on campus.
Spice is considered a banned substance by the Department of Defense and the Navy.
