Aberdeen High School Student Arrested For Threatening Text Message
ABERDEEN, Md. (WJZ)— A threatening text message has put an Aberdeen High School student behind bars.
When the accused student arrived to school Wednesday morning, a school resource officer met the student at the door. Police then made the arrest.
There is no word from officials on what was said in that message, sent to a fellow student.
Harford County Public Schools spokeswoman Teri Kranefeld says that the principal was made aware of a text message and sent a recorded phone message to parents informing them about the incident.
As a precaution, Aberdeen High was placed on modified lockdown until the situation was resolved.
Charges are not known.
