Winter Weather Advisory In Effect For Parts Of Md.; WJZ Tracks The Storm
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A dose of winter is now in Maryland. A winter weather advisory is in effect for the Baltimore metro area and parts of Western Maryland Wednesday until 10 p.m.
WJZ's First Warning Weather Team is tracking the winter weather. Here's a breakdown.
TIMELINE:
Some rain and/or snow started moving through Frederick around 11 a.m and is now moving through the rest of Maryland. It is expected to move out of the metro area between 6 and 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Light snow is expected across the region in the early afternoon with a heavier snowfall in the late afternoon into the evening.
NORTH:
Accumulations of one to three inches of snow are expected on grassy areas and trees with temperatures in the mid-30s.
METRO:
Baltimore and immediate surrounding areas could get a slushy coating to 1"
SOUTH:
Some snow, rain and slush are expected to affect this area.
The wintry weather could impact travel on the roads, causing limited visibility. Drivers are asked to use caution during the evening rush hour.

We are expected to go below freezing overnight. There could be black ice on the road for Thursday morning's commute.
