BALTIMORE (AP) -- Police in Baltimore say an officer has been taken to the hospital after crashing his police cruiser into another vehicle.
Detective Kevin Brown said in an e-mail that an officer was driving with the vehicle's lights flashing and sirens on when the crash occurred Saturday morning. The officer was driving to help another colleague just before 6 a.m. when the crash occurred at the intersection of Guilford Avenue and Centre Street.
The officer was transported to a hospital with what was believed to be non-life threatening injuries. Brown did not know the gender of the officer involved in the crash or the condition of the driver that was hit.
