Man Who Killed Officer In 2004 Back In Jail

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A man who pleaded guilty to manslaughter for killing a Maryland Transportation Authority Police officer when he slammed into his cruiser in 2004 is back in jail for allegedly violating probation.

Albert G. Antonelli, 39, of Queenstown was arrested Tuesday when he showed up for a court hearing. The Annapolis Capital reports that he was ordered held without bond on a September charge of possessing heroin and drug paraphernalia while on supervised probation.

Antonelli served three years in prison after killing Officer Duke Aaron III, 29, when his pickup truck, traveling more than 70 mph, hit the back of Aaron's unmarked cruiser on Route 50 west of the Bay Bridge.
