Montgomery Co. Seeks Presidential Election Judges

SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County is looking for people to serve as election judges at polling sites for the presidential elections in April and November.

The judges must be registered voters in the state of Maryland and must be able to speak, read and write in English. The judges cannot hold or be a candidate for public or party office while serving. The judges also cannot serve as a campaign manager for a candidate or as treasurer for any campaign financial entity.

The county also needs judge alternates who are fluent in both English and Spanish.

The judges will be trained and compensated.

The presidential primary election will be held in Maryland on April 3. The general election will be held on Nov. 6.
