Police Find Newborn's Body In The Trunk Of A Car In Calvert County

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Officials say a newborn baby has been found dead in the trunk of a car in Calvert County.

The sheriff's office says the child's body was found Thursday evening in the trunk of the vehicle parked at a trailer park community in Prince Frederick. A person cleaning the trunk discovered the child and called police around 6:40 p.m.

Investigators did not release the child's gender, age or identity. It was unclear how long the child's body had been in the trunk.
