NFL free agency has slowed a bit, and the Ravens continue to lose players. Safety Haruki Nakamura becomes the 4th Raven to depart in the last two days as he is now a member of the Carolina Panthers. Nakamura signed a 3-year deal with the club. The Ravens have made an offer to free agent guard Evan Mathis.
NHL: The Capitals return to the ice Friday looking for their 6th straight win. They are in Winnipeg to face the Jets, who are 4 points behind the Caps for the 8th and final playoff spot. They face off Friday at 8:30pm. Washington is 3 points behind Florida for first place in the southeast division.
And a poll conducted of registered voters in Pennsylvania showed that they favor Penn State’s football stadium being re-named after longtime head coach Joe Paterno. Quinnipiac Universtity’s study showed that 46 percent approved while 40 percent opposed.
