Teenager Dies In Car Accident In Clear Spring

CLEAR SPRING, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a Hagerstown teenager has died following a single-car crash in Clear Spring.

Authorities say they were called to the accident on National Pike, near Garrow Drive, early Sunday. Authorities say they found an overturned Buick Reatta off the roadway, with the driver trapped inside. Police say the driver was extricated from the vehicle and taken to the Meritus Medical Center, where he later died.

Authorities identified the victim as 17-year-old Quinn Hoover. The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports he had attended Washington County Technical High School.

Police say the vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert and telephone pole before overturning.
