Officials Say ‘Suspicious Package’ Found In North Baltimore Is Now Safe

BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Officials say that the unattended backpack in North Baltimore that was being investigated by the Baltimore City police as a potential bomb threat is now safe.
Police received reports of a suspicious package about 3:30 p.m. Friday in the garage of the M&T Bank on Roland Avenue and Deepdene Road.
By 5 p.m., M&T Bank was cordoned off and all nearby businesses were evacuated. Children at the nearby Roland Park Elementary/Middle School were also not allowed to leave the school.
Northbound and southbound Roland Avenue was closed to traffic.
