Makers Of 'House Of Cards' Series Seek Actors In Md.-D.C. Area

STEVENSON, Md. (WJZ)-- Aspiring actors from all over Maryland showed up at a casting call for a Netflix political series called "House of Cards" at Stevenson University on Saturday.

The series-- based on a British novel and mini-series of the same name-- will be shot across Baltimore and Washington, D.C. starting in mid April.

Makers of the series are looking for extras to fill roles such as Capitol Hill staffers, politicians, lobbyists, aides and reporters. Actors may also be considered for recurring roles.

Kevin Spacey will star in the series, and he will also be producing along with Eric Roth, who worked on "Forrest Gump."

If you missed the casting call, you can still try for a part in the series by sending an e-mail to CCSubmissions01@gmail.com with a photo in JPEG format labeled with your name and phone number. Also include your height, weight and other body dimensions in the body of the e-mail.
