Free CBS Local iPad App Brings Local News To Your Fingertips

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—There's a new way to stay connected to what we have to offer here at WJZ and CBS.

Mike Schuh pulls out his iPad to let you in on a new app called "YourDay."

To get the app, type in "CBS YourDay."

CNET writer Sree Sreenivasan has extensively test driven this app.

"It's one glance, one look to see what your day is like," Sreenivasan said.

The app also allows you to take a look at weather--not only what's happening now but a look ahead for the next seven days.

Just touch the icon for a camera, and you can find out about traffic, too.  It shows a map and even allows you to travel down highways.

You also can see stories aired on Eyewitness News.

"One of the things we end up doing online is surfing for the things you want, and the idea with one click you can get local radio stations is terrific," Sreenivasan said.

Again, the app is called "CBS YourDay."  Search for it, download it. The best part is it's free.

For now this app is only available for iPads. If you want to learn more about it, click here.
