POWHATAN, Va. (AP) — Virginia State Police have identified one of three people killed in a five-vehicle accident in Powhatan County.

Sgt. Thomas J. Molnar says Russell R. Abel Jr., 23, of Chesterfield was the driver of a dump truck hauling sludge that crossed the center line and hit a log truck head on.

The log truck’s driver and a passenger also were killed. They have not been identified.

Two flat-bed trailers and another dump truck hauling sludge also were involved in Monday’s accident on U.S. 60. The drivers of those vehicles were injured. Molnar identified them as 25-year-old Dray D. Jones and 63-year-old James B. Dabney, both of Cumberland, and Michael W. Steis of Brandywine, Md.

The investigation is continuing.

Dump truck drivers are the most reckless stupid imbeciles on the road today. They have the equivalent of an 4th grade education, smell & are just foul people.
