Police Seek Man In Stabbing Death In Md.

PUMPHREY, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County police are searching for a suspect in the stabbing death of a man in the community of Pumphrey.

Police say they were called to the 300-block of Berlin Avenue for a report of a stabbing about 6 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities say officers found the victim on the sidewalk, suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper torso.

The man was taken to Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, where he was pronounced dead. He was identified as Romanda Lee Young.

Police say Young, 41, had been involved with an altercation with another man, which resulted in the stabbing. The suspect fled the scene.

Authorities say they have developed a "person of interest" and do not believe the attack was random.
