BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)– Five people, including two children, were seriously injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Wards Chapel and Liberty Roads near the Baltimore County/Carroll County Line.
Authorities say the accident occurred when the driver of an SUV traveling east on Liberty Road turned left into the westbound lane and into the path of a dump truck. The SUV rolled over once.
Of the five people injured, one adult female was flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital emergency room and two children went to the Children’s Center. One adult female was also transported to Shock Trauma and an adult male went to Sinai.
The five patients all were occupants of the Expedition and suffered serious injuries. The driver of the dump truck was not taken to the hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
