MIDDLE RIVER, Md. (AP) — Hundreds of Air National Guard members are deploying to support combat operations in Afghanistan.
About 300 members of the 175th Maintenance/Operations Group are leaving this week from Warfield Air National Guard Base in Middle River for a nearly 90-day deployment.
The largest group of air crews and ground support personnel will leave early Friday after a visit from Maj. Gen. James A. Adkins, the adjutant-general of Maryland.
