BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Baltimore police officer shot an armed man Saturday.

According to police, they were called to Brookfield Avenue for the report of a disturbance.

When they arrived, the suspect fled. An officer pursued the suspect, who grabbed a knife or knife-like weapon.

The officer shot the suspect, who was taken to a local hospital. His condition is not known.

The suspect and officer’s names have not been released.

The incident is under investigation.
