Smoke Shuts Down Prince George's Election Precinct

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- State election board officials say primary election voting has resumed at Largo High School in Prince George's County after smoke briefly shut down the building.

Officials said voting had to be put on hold for about 30 minutes Tuesday afternoon after smoke was discovered.

Election management director Donna Duncan says it unclear what caused the smoke, but that the building has been reopened and voters continue to cast ballots.

Duncan says she is not sure how many people have voted in election statewide. Polling locations will be open until 8 p.m.
