HILLSBORO, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say a Caroline County toddler died after being found in a swimming pool at her home.
Troopers say 2-year-old Bella Blackiston of Hillsboro was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital in Easton. She was taken there about 5 p.m. Monday after a neighbor saw her in the above ground pool.
Results from the medical examiner’s autopsy did not reveal signs of trauma or suspicious injuries, and the cause and manner of death have not been announced.
The incident is under investigation.
